Spinach Feta Burgers

This is my absolute go-to when I have zero energy to be creative or hunt for a new recipe. One of my best friends, Natalie, and I whipped this up together on a warm Wednesday night, and it quickly became a regular in both of our kitchens!

These Spinach Feta Chicken Burgers are a flavorful, nutrient-dense twist on a classic burger! Made with lean ground chicken (much more juicy than turkey), fresh spinach, tangy feta cheese, garlic, and herbs, packed with protein and greens.

They cook quickly on the stovetop or grill and pair beautifully with a bun, lettuce wrap, or salad. Perfect for weeknight dinners, meal prep, or backyard cookouts.

Let’s dig in!

Total time: 20 Minutes | Prep Time: 10 Minutes | Cook Time: 10 Minutes

Servings: 4 patties

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground chicken (93% lean recommended)

  • 2 cups fresh spinach, finely chopped

  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • ¼ cup white onion, finely diced

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • ½ tsp dried dill (optional but recommended)

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions:

  1. Mix Burger Patties: In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped spinach, feta cheese, minced garlic, diced onion, oregano, dill, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. Form Patties: Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about ½-inch thick.

  3. Cook: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F and they are golden brown.

  4. Rest & Serve: Let burgers rest 2–3 minutes. Serve on buns, in lettuce wraps, or over a salad with your favorite toppings (tomato, cucumber, tzatziki, or avocado).
